I slept until around 7:30. I avoid the Black Friday shopping because I hate when it’s hectic and figure I’ll end up buying things I don’t really need anyway.

My husband and I did go out later in the day to a crafts store a client owns and bought my 2 sisters their christmas presents and ornaments for my son and nieces and nephew for their gifts. I’ve made ornaments for the last 10 years or so but this year I just didn’t feel like could do it.

I also have a very oddly designed living room that it’s so hard to arrange. It’s long and narrow, there’s three windows together on one wall and the opposite wall is the fireplace – but it’s not centered in the room. The TV has to go at the end of the room….oh, I could go on and on! I’ve lived in the house 42 of my 49 years and a few years ago we had some interior decorator friends come over and help us figure out a suitable layout – they did.

Just had this exact conversation with Evan the other day when I found out her had another late slip. He forgot to get it signed and ran all the way home before school started to get it signed by his dad. I’m hoping he gets better organzied before middle school next year so we don’t have any more mornings like this!

I feel your pain!!
There were days/nights like that when my son was home. Now that he’s in college he’s on his own and I think/hope those various lessons/lectures are somewhere in his brain! I hope your kids do the same.
